Australian Privacy Network is an Australian initiative developing practical privacy, verification and evidence infrastructure. Its work focuses on systems that can show what occurred, preserve inspectable records and allow important claims to be checked without requiring blind trust in the interface that produced them.

What APN does

• Develops verification and evidence tooling — local hashing, receipts, controlled workflow and ledger recording.
• Publishes plain-language privacy resources once they have been reviewed for accuracy and source integrity.
• Maintains a public status register so no product is silently upgraded from demonstration to public.

What APN does not claim

• No statutory authority, accreditation or government endorsement.
• No certification of third-party products or organisations.
• No industry-wide adoption. Every engagement is scoped and documented.

APN and Sovereign

Sovereign is the engineering name used for APN's verification and evidence infrastructure. Australian Privacy Network is the public-facing organisation that develops and operates these systems. Sovereign is an APN technology family, not a separate organisation.
